Pindarica designed and created a special monograph for Coopselios, a social cooperative that offers community welfare solutions addressing socio-welfare, healthcare, and educational needs. The curators gathered memories and stories that the residents of Coopselios facilities wanted to share on the theme of the technological revolution of the 1960s. The boom years brought great conveniences to many homes that changed our lives: refrigerators, cars, televisions, irons…
The two central holes that run through the entire volume represent an electrical outlet, a metaphor for modernity and change. These same holes align with illustrations on the internal pages, acquiring new meaning: the buttons of a washing machine, the knobs of a television, the vents of an iron… All objects that “plugged in” during those years. Reading the stories evokes emotions, making readers smile and reminisce with the protagonists, who can address significant themes with grace and nostalgia, often with a bittersweet smile on their lips.
